Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, Berkshire's mental health and community care trust, has been recognised by NHS England as an advanced foundation trust on 1st June 2026. This recognises high-performing NHS trusts and foundation trusts that demonstrate strong capability and performance, providing greater operational autonomy and financial flexibility to support reinvestment in patient care.

Reading Patient Voice Group will meet at 6pm on Wednesday 15th July 2026 in Committee Room 1 of the Reading Civic Offices on Bridge Street and online via Microsoft Teams.

We will discuss the recent NHS standards on communication with patients referred for treatment and the very recently published results of the annual survey of patient experience at GP surgeries. In addition there will be reports from local trust governors and patient groups.

The Chief Medical Officer for England has issued guidance on the benefits of exercise and how to take it.
