Priory Avenue Surgery, in North and West Reading locality is to close on 30th June. It is run by One Medical Group and has been in special measures for some time. The majority of the patients will transfer to other surgeries in the North and West Reading locality, but some 1,500 live South of the river Thames and will transfer to GP practices in South Reading locality or to Western Elms surgery.
NHS England is seeking views on online GP consultations. There is an online consultation on GP online consultations for you to take part in. The closing date is Friday, 15th June.

South Reading Patient Voice will be meeting at 6pm on 30th May 2018 at Reading Community Learning Centre, 94, London Street, RG1 4SJ.
The consumer organisation "Which?" has reported that South Reading CCG had by far the lowest rate of provision of NHS Continuing Health Care in the country with the rest of Berkshire West also in the lowest four in England.
The rates per 50,000 population for Berkshire West CCGs (now merged to one) were:
- South Reading: 8.28
- North and West Reading: 18.45
- Wokingham: 18.78
- Newbury and District: 19.33
Public Health England creates summary health profiles for all Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) areas. As the South reading locality was an independent CCG in 2017 a health profile is available for it for 2017 and earlier years - please see the attached documents below. This summarises social conditions relevant to health and wellbeing and health outcomes for the people of South Reading.

Berkshire West Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) has now taken over from the 4 federated CCGs covering the three local authorities West Berks, Reading and Wokingham. It has its own website with details of the four localities.
South Reading Patient Voice will be meeting at 6pm on 25th April 2018 at Reading Community Learning Centre, 94, London Street, RG1 4SJ. We will hear presentations from members on a number of subjects: "Causes of Morning Sickness", "The Role of School Nurse", "What our Integrated Care System is doing". We will also discuss future work and hear about the work of local Patient Participation Groups, Reading Healthwatch and other news from the local health economy.

The emails contain a link to click on which starts "http://www.srpv.org.uk/srpv/content.........". This is safe to click on. You can then give or withhold consent as you wish. This is because of new EU legislation (GDPR) which comes into force on 25th May.
